FAQ

What makes this ceremonial grade?

Ceremonial grade refers to the youngest leaves of the first spring harvest, shaded for several weeks before picking, then steamed, dried, destemmed and stone milled. The result is a vivid green powder with natural sweetness and no bitterness, meant to be whisked with water and drunk on its own.

How many servings are in one pouch?

Each 30 g pouch makes about 15 servings at 2 g per cup.

How do I prepare it?

Sift 2 g of matcha into a bowl, add 70 ml of water at 75°C, and whisk in fast W strokes until a fine foam forms. For an iced latte, whisk with a small amount of water first, then pour over cold milk and ice. Never use boiling water, as heat burns the sweetness.

Where do you ship?

We ship across the United Arab Emirates. Orders in Dubai get same day delivery with Careem Box

How should I store it?

Keep the pouch sealed in a cool, dark place away from heat and strong smells. Once opened, use within two months for the best flavour. Refrigerator is recommended.

Is it vegan and gluten free?

Yes. Our matcha is a single ingredient product: pure stone milled green tea leaves from Uji, Japan. Nothing is added.

How much caffeine does it contain?

A 2 g serving contains roughly 60 mg of caffeine, similar to a cup of coffee. Matcha also contains L-theanine, which is why the energy tends to feel steadier and lasts longer.
